Ancient Kaitag & Ikat were and are rare art form, deriving from women of the 1600's this art form would shape art itself forever. It wasn't until approximately the 1980's that these patterns would familiarized globally, all thanks to one British explorer/ researcher. These striking patterns have provided tasteful worldly charm, and have quickly become a staple for countless styles of design/decorating.

This is a genuine hand knotted cut pile rug, not tufted, hooked, or machine made. All we do is hand knotted.
